If it hadn't dawned on me already that we're leaving the country, it certainly started to today. We have 3 large boxes of books to give away and 16 smaller ones that we're keeping. That doesn't even include the one shelf of books in the library that my mom-in-law wants kept pretty for the real-estate tours. Beyond that, things really haven't gotten underway much. The paperwork for our visas only just went out this week, and it will be another 6-8 after that before everything is in place for us. We would love to be able to start shipping some of the less immediately necessary items for our year away from home, but we don't even know our address yet.
All of this hecticness, and I'm still somehow finding time to tutor, teach at Kamloops Immigrant Services, and work 2 jobs. I think I might well have gone crazy before we leave the country, but it will be very much worth every moment.
The only thing to do is continue to sort through our crap for the next couple of months...
And wait. There will still be lots of waiting.
